Following is a screen capture of Bet Selector's Rating Tables. A
description of the items in each column can be found at the end of this
page.
Rating Tables Glossary
- #: This column simply shows the TAB (or saddlecloth)
number
- Form: This shows the horses last 4 finishing positions
with the most recent on the right and the letter "x" indicating a spell
between runs
- HORSE NAME (Barrier): The horses name followed by the
barrier position from which the hose will start in the starting gate.
- JOCKEY: The name of the jockey engaged to ride the
horse
- WGT: The weight allocated for the horse to carry
- P'MONEY: The total career to date prize-money earned by
the horse
- API: The Average Prize-money Index for the horse which
is its total career earnings divided by 1,000 divided by its total career
number of starts
- Win%: The horses win percentage as calculated by 100
times the number of career wins divided by the number of career starts
- Plc%: The horses place percentage as calculated by 100
times the number of career places (wins + seconds + thirds) divided by the
number of career starts
- Base (Main) Ratings: Our main predictive rating expressed as a
kilogram figure in the Rate column and a rated price in the Price column
- Better Ratings: A variation of our main predictive
rating that emphasizes class expressed as a points total (from 100 down) in
the Rate column and a rated price in the Price column
- Plus Ratings: A variation of our main predictive rating
that emphasizes consistency expressed as a kilogram figure in the Rate
column and a rated price in the Price column
